Education and Wildlife

Environmental Education Programs

There is much to see and explore on Bald Head Island whether you are a first-time visitor or a resident. Programs ranging from bird watching to kayaking through the salt marsh to hiking in the beautiful maritime forest are available throughout the year.

The summer season is active with children’s nature camps and the always-popular nightly Turtle Walks. The Conservancy’s education staff has a unique and expert perspective on the island’s habitats and wildlife, and strives to provide quality environmental education programs for all ages.

If you are coming to the island during a time when we don’t have any programs offered, please contact us to set up a private program that suits your group’s needs and interests.
