Earth Day Celebration

On Bald Head Island, we experience the unique ecosystem and wildlife the island has to offer on a daily basis. Whether out on the beach, exploring the salt marsh, or in the maritime forest, the beauty of BHI reminds us to appreciate nature. As we get closer to spring, we’re inviting you to join us as we showcase this appreciation by celebrating the 50th anniversary of Earth Day!

Here at the Conservancy, we’ll be hosting an Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 11th, so make sure to mark your calendars! The day will begin at 9:30 AM with our first Turtle Trot of the year. Following the race, there will be a variety of engaging programs like an Island Clean-Up from 11:00-2:00, Earth Day centered educational activities, and there will even be some sweet treats to enjoy! These activities were created in order to better connect you and your family to nature. So, join us for a day full of fun as we come together to learn more about this important holiday and celebrate the incredible beauty of BHI. We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
