2016 Annual Fund for the Environment

Annual Fund for the Environment
Make a Difference

>>   Protect sensitive barrier island habitats and species by Making a Gift to the Annual Fund  <<

Think about the beauty of Bald Head Island. Think about relaxing on the beach, exploring the maritime forest, and seeing the vibrant life of the salt marsh. Furthermore, think about how important the barrier islands are for the protection and defense of the entire North Carolina coast.
At the Bald Head Island Conservancy, our mission includes preserving the barrier islands and educating our youth on how they can make a difference in protecting the future of these precious places.  The RIPPLE EFFECT of our actions will forever have a lasting impression on our island and the surrounding coast.  YOU can make a difference today that will impact the future of Bald Head Island by contributing to the The Annual Fund and assisting us in funding these conservation efforts.
Gifts to the Annual Fund strengthen the BHI Conservancy and ensure the beauty of Bald Head Island will be here to enjoy for years to come.  An economic study has shown that our Sea Turtle Protection program, funded in part by the Annual Fund, has contributed $30 million to the Bald Head Island economy and $50 million to the regional economy via tourism revenue.  How many investments offer that level of return?

This year our Annual Fund theme will be the Ripple Effect

As a special thank you, donors who give over $500 this year will receive this matted 12" x 16" artistic aerial image of the BHI Conservancy Campus that was generously donated by Larry Kirby.

We hope you will join us this year by making a generous donation to the  Annual Fund for the Environment  -  click here to support this fund.
