Today, BHIC staff responded to an American alligator, on the Bald Head Island Club tennis court. The alligator wasn't there for a match, but was instead using the area to sunbathe. With help from Public Works and Public Safety, the alligator was redirected off of the court and back into its pond. A surprisingly warm day may make many island reptiles more active.
