Fall Coastal Environmental and Non-Profit Internship (3 positions available):

The BHI Conservancy is seeking three recent graduates with environmental education and conservation fieldwork experience to join our team dedicated to conservation, education and preservation of barrier islands. These are 4-month positions starting in August 2017. While the majority of the fall will be spent assisting with educational programs and conservation monitoring fieldwork; this position will include other responsibilities of working at a non-profit organization.

Director of Development:

The Director of Development is expected to develop and initiate a new comprehensive fundraising program, cultivate donor relations, and organize fundraising events/engagements on Bald Head Island and in locations across the region where BHI visitors reside. The programmatic goal of the new comprehensive fundraising campaign is expected to be ‘Sustaining the Bald Head Island Conservancy’ and will include multiyear and estate giving and requires leadership from the Director of Development in creating and refining the program. The ideal candidate should be team-oriented, have more than 8 years of experience fundraising for a non-profit, and a strong commitment to helping grow philanthropy to extend BHI Conservancy’s reach on Bald Head Island and throughout the region. Experience with local community engagement and a desire to share a passion for the Conservancy’s mission are desired.
